Walking the streets

Walking the streets.
I have nowhere to go.
Out here all alone.
There is no one I know.

Walking the streets.
I can’t cope on my own.
I can’t cope any longer.
But I just can’t go home.

Walking the streets.
Please someone help me.
I’m lost and in need.
Why can’t people see?

Walking the streets.
At last a friendly face.
“Please come with me”.
I know of a safe place.
