Making Way For Christmas

By Dorothy Suhling Kraljev

I'll be right there

I'm coming...really...

Hey, I'm sorry

But I've got to run

Do I what?

Of course I know what time of year it is.

Am I ready?

Well, if I'm not...I'll die trying...

How am I getting ready?

Well...

As I take it from storage

The manger scene unfolds

Piece by piece...

The cows, the sheep...their shepherds...

Child, do you love me?

My child, do you really love me?

Wise men now stand adoringly about the crib.

Do you seek me out?

And Joseph takes his place

Ever faithful, supportive, loyal.

Mary kneels by the simple cradle

No bows or wrappings here

No Flashing lights

A few pieces of straw

This shelter I present to You is untidy

A crude beginning for a King...

And yet You come Baby Jesus

I put Your figure in the manger now...

A place of simple honor
