Cover Me, Lord

Cover Me Lord
when I cannot find my way
with trouble on every side
in my place of safety
behind my feelings I hide
my flesh aching, help me Lord,
feeling as though the bottom has fallen out from under me
yet, a voice heard loud and clear from my spirit says
I am with you always.
I speak out in answer, cover me Lord
keep my foot assured
let not my heart be troubled
to you Lord I trust my soul, cover me Lord
help me to faint not, continue to hear my cry
cover me Lord, do not pass me by
for in my time of trouble
even though I felt I could go no more
my spirit let me know you are there Lord, always.
This too shall pass, this season I am in, you have allowed for a time.
In you shall I rest, your word I will confess
I will press never the less
cover me Lord
