Jesus Was Forsaken

The  Valentine of Hope

Jesus asked why on His darkest day;
He suffered alone our sins to pay.
He was forsaken on Calvary;
So you and I could be ever free.
 He was forsaken for you and me;
 That murderous day on Calvary.
 His children will not be forsaken;
 Since His blood was shed for men's  sin.
 A love gesture written in His blood;
 Jesus forsaken, because of love.
 The greatest act of love ever sown;
 The greatest act of mercy ever shown.
 In letters of love it's been written;
 He died so we could be forgiven.
 For God so loved the world that He gave;
 The only answer for men to be saved.
 Jesus, a merciful valentine;
 True love, none so precious, none so kind.
 Was given freely to pay our sin;
 See His heart, see His love, see Him?
 Jesus, a perfect white rose of grace;
 Defeated the power of the grave.
 The  valentine of hope for the world;
 Our victorious risen Lord.
 Jesus asked why on His darkest day;
 He suffered alone our sins to pay.
 He was forsaken on Calvary;
 Twas true love given for you and me.
 Jesus was forsaken -
 So we would never be forsaken.

Deuteronomy 31:6:  Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
