1. Pride

Christian: (enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck.) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all...

Pride: (enters from left during Christian' s speech moves upstage left. Speaks in flattering tones) Well said!

Christian: (looks around surprised. Sees Pride. Smiling politely) Pardon?

Pride: (approaching Christian) I said, ' Well said.' You do that very well.

Christian: (With each compliment, Christian swells with pride) Well, thank you. I...Do what well?

Pride: Speak! You spoke your lines very well. ' Trippingly off the tongue' as they say. Good memorization as well.

Christian: Well, I did work very hard on them.

Pride: (Pats him on the shoulder) I' ll bet! (Shakes hands) And what a firm handshake! Have you been working out?

Christian: I try to get to the gym whenever I can.

Pride: ( As Christian faces forward, Pride steps behind Christian speaking like the ' Devil on the Shoulder' ) You must be a very busy man.

Christian: Yes, I work hard, busy with my job. I just got a promotion.

Pride: About time!

Christian: I'll say! And I earned it all by myself. If it wasn't for me that whole company would fall apart.

Pride: How do you do it all?

Christian: A job where I do all the work. A family that would be in chaos if not for my scheduling and guidance. And church committees... don' t even start!

Pride: You are amazing to juggle all those responsibilities by yourself.–

Christian: I just think of it as doing God' s work.

Pride: Sometimes God can use some help. God needs a person like you.

Christian: (the ego is inflated) Yes, he does.

Pride: (Moves to the left of Christian, points to Christian as if Christian is a display model) And so well dressed. New pants, new shirt, New shoes. New cross...

Christian:(shakes awake as if he was asleep. Grabs and looks at the cross) New cross. (Christian begins to pray.)

Pride: ... new haircut. New watch. New belt. New..( Notices Christian not paying attention anymore) Christian? (Pride becomes desperate for Christian' s attention but is speechless. Soon Pride freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

Christian: (looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: "No temptation has seized you except what is common to all people. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13) Christian freezes.

(Curtain)

2. Envy

Christian: (enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck. Envy follows close behind unnoticed by Christian. Envy stays upstage right, staring at Christian.) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all... (Envy sighs heavily.)

Christian: (moving over to Envy) Are you ‘_ ? (Envy sighs again.)

Christian: Is something ... wrong?

Envy: Well ...yes. –

Christian: What is it?

Envy: (Hesitantly) You see, it's... well... I really liked your first speech in the play... It's so... powerful...and well, would it be all right if I got to say it?

Christian: I don' t know. You see...

Envy: You're lucky. You get to stand there (points to downstage center), while I have to stand way over here, waiting, waiting, waiting for my line to come. Now I think it' s time for you to try it. You stand over here (moves Christian to upstage right, while Christian tries to get a word in edgewise.) And I' ll stand over here in your spot.

Christian: (Puts hand to mouth trying to amplify his voice from far away) It won't work!

Envy: (imitating Christian) Why not?

Christian: Because I've already said the line. Envy begins to whine and moan again.

Christian:(Coming downstage center and tries to push Envy out of the space) Stop being so irritating. You took my spot, haven't you? I want it back now.

Envy: (Stopping Christian) No, no, no. It's not this spot. Oh, sure, once it was nice. You' ve had a great time when you had it , but... Look! (Points out to the congregation) Look at that lucky guy in the third row. Do you see him?( Christian struggles to look.)

Christian: (As both lean forward) Why, yes. As a matter of fact, I do!

Envy: (Both looking out enviously) Do you see what he' s got?

Together: Tim ‘Hortons' coffee! What a lucky guy!

(Note to reader: The characters need to be envious of people other than themselves. You need– something on which the characters can focus. Then change the lines accordingly. We chose a coffee cup. You might choose a handsome suit or beautiful dress, a musician' s guitar, etc. Don' t choose anything religious for Envy to desire.)

Envy: To be able to sip a coffee during the service. Wow, I wish had some.

Christian: I' m parched and I think I need it more.

Envy: (in a fit of anger) What! You can't be serious. You, the star of this play, You who gets the most lines, the one the congregation identifies with the most. You're so lucky. And me, poor old me, the sin, the deadly sin even. Why I can' t even get a little sip of that dishwater coffee over there. I' ll have to wait until after the sermon and drink some with everybody else. Wow, won't that make me feel special.

Christian: (enviously, moving right and left and talking over Envy' s shoulders) Must be nice...–

Envy: (nervously, taking possession of downstage center) What is?

Christian:...To come into this play and steal the whole scene, right out from under me! You come on stage and whine and moan. (Aside) Wonderfully well played by the way...

Envy:(has possession of the space) If you're fishing for a compliment...

Christian: (quickly) I hate you. (Total frustration and envy) You come on stage and take away my whole purpose for being here.

Envy: (Taking over) Now that you mention it. I' ve decided that I want to have your part!

Christian: (begins to walk away taking on Envy' s characteristics) It figures. ( To the audience) He' s such a lucky guy.(Christian turns to watch.)

Envy: (assumes Christian' s stance at the beginning of the play) Hello, My name is... (looks down, feels around the neck). Wait a second! Something is missing. (Christian sees the cross around his own neck. Christian begins to pray.) That lucky guy Christian always had that pretty necklace around his neck. (Looking around at the congregation, moves upstage left) I wish I had one like that, only prettier... with a great big jewel in it...and even more...(Soon Envy freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

Christian:(looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13)

(Christian freezes.)

3. Wrath

Wrath: (enters from right, muttering and arguing quietly with himself. Moves to upstage right.) Can I help it? ‘_ Noooooo‘_ . Is it my... fault? ‘_ Noooooo‘_ . Only one rehearsal he said. The lines won' t be a problem, he said. I' m not angry. I am just not angry... and any who says otherwise is wrong.

Christian: (enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck. Notices Wrath. Christian is curious at first and then tries to walk to downstage centre keeping Wrath at a distance) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all...

Wrath: (makes an anger noise)

Christian: Excuse me? (Anger turns away.) Yes... Well... as I was saying, I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of...

Wrath: (with another appropriate anger noise) ‘_ !

Christian: (a little taken aback) Pardon me. I' m trying to do a play here. Do you mind?

Wrath: (sarcastically, moves down beside Christian) Well, what do you know? The star of the show is asking me if I mind? (Aimed at the congregation) Did you hear that those of you sleeping already in the back? Hamlet with a halo wants to know if I mind!

Christian: (trying hard to keep calm) Hey, I' m just trying my best here...

Wrath: (With back to Christian, loud and trying to hurt) We' ve heard the same thing for the last few week already. We all get it, do you hear me? You' re Christian, blah, blah, blah...

Christian: O.K., O.K., I get it. You are angry.

Wrath: (turns to Christian, seething) I' m not angry.

Christian: What do you mean, you' re not angry. Just look at you.

Wrath: (louder) I am not angry.

Christian: Of course you are angry, and you' ve decided to take it out on me.

Wrath: (very loudly) I... am...not... angry!

Christian: (getting embarrassed) Would you quiet down please. We are in front of the whole church. Why don' t you start again ...just like in rehearsal ...and this time focus a little better and do your best. –

Wrath: (head down, frustrated) It' ll mess up a line anyway. I just can' t do it.

Christian: I' ll help you.

Wrath: (boiling again) YOU' LL help me? Thanks for nothing. You? You' re the one who got me into this mess in the first place.

Christian: (getting angry) Now just wait one second! I' ll...

Wrath: (verbally striking) IT' S ALL YOUR FAULT!

Christian: (matching in anger) MY FAULT? HOW IS IT MY FAULT?

Wrath: If you don' t know, then I am not going to tell you! (Stomps to upstage right) –

Christian: (bewildered, then regains anger) Fine. O.K. Go ahead and be that way. YOU ARE NOT MY PROBLEM.(Stomps to upstage left) Together: (facing each other across the stage) I DON' T NEED YOU! I DON' T NEED ANYBODY! (A 10 count pause as they both fume at each other. They both turn away from each other. Both are alone.)

Wrath: (Out to the air) You really bother me, you know that? Acting like you're God's gift to theatre...

Christian: ...God's... (Christian sees the cross around his own neck. Christian begins to pray.)

Wrath: (moves toward Christian) That' s right... Ms. God' s gift... playing holier than thou... holier than me... Christian... CHRISTIAN... are you listening to me! ‘

(Soon Wrath freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

Christian: (looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13)

4. Greed

(Upstage center there are two chairs facing the audience on opposing diagonals so that the audience can see both actors and the actors can face each other. A cup of water is by the stage left chair.)

Christian: (enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck.) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all...

Greed: (has been boldly coming from left and has a permanent smile on his face) That' s all good and fine... but now it' s time to play Greed! (Greed applauds and motions to the congregation to do the same. He nudges Christian, who claps weakly)

Christian: Pardon me?

Greed: That' s right. Here' s your chance to get lots and lots of everybody' s favourite things! Stuff! Let's welcome our first contestant - Christian! (Christian confused is led by Greed to the chairs. Christian sits on chair stage right. Greed sits on chair stage left.)

Greed: Welcome Christian, why don' t you tell us something about yourself.

Christian: (unsure, but gains confidence) Well, ... Hello My name is Christian... I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith...

Greed: (Interrupting) That' s very interesting. Good luck with that walking thing. Now let's play Greed. Now Christian. Here' s how we play. I will ask you some questions. With each question, you will get more and more stuff . With each additional question, you can go higher and higher until you – have enough - (with evil humour), but we all know that you can never have enough .

Christian: (eagerly) I' m ready to play!

Greed: Excellent! Let' s begin.(Game show music if possible, as Greed takes out his cue cards) If you answer this first question correctly, you' ll receive some stuff. (Reads from card) Question one. According to our modern culture, greed is ...

Christian: All right, let me think...

Greed: Yes, go ahead. Say it out loud.

Christian: Well, I know that the answer should be ' ...

Greed: Interesting.

Christian: ...but you' re not asking about my belief...

Greed: Oh, so you don' t think that way?

Christian:... Well, I... modern culture, eh? Well...

Greed: So you think Greed is a sin?

Christian: ...I thought I knew... but now I' m not sure...

Greed: Remember, if you answer correctly, you will win some stuff!

Christian: O.K., It' s modern culture, so I go with ' Greed is

Greed: Are you sure about that? –

Christian: Yes, it' s my...answer. (There is a pause while Christian squirms.)

Greed: Congratulations, you are correct! You have just won some stuff!

Christian: (much relieved) Wow, that' s great.

Greed: Now are you prepared to get more stuff?

Christian: Well,...I only have some stuff, and that's not enough. I want more stuff!

Greed: Great! For more stuff , here is your next question.– (Reads from a new card) Which of the following is a way to get more stuff?– a. To be content in whatever the circumstances.– b. To spend quality time with your family. c. To put others before yourself. d. The end justifies the means.

Christian: (nervously) Well, I don' t know... This is very difficult... (As Christian is talking, Greed leans over to pick up water. He knows that he is setting up Christian. As Greed leans over, Christian leans forward to sneak a peek at the correct answer on the cue card.) My answer is 'the end justifies the means.'

Greed: That is correct! You have just won more stuff!

Christian: Let' s go on! I want more, more, more!

Greed: We love it when a contestant shows such enthusiasm. All right! For a lot of stuff, your next question. (Reading from a cue card) What is your only comfort in life and in death? a. Stuff b. more stuff c. a lot of stuff d. all the above, and more! What do you think, Christian? This looks like an easy answer!

Christian: (confused) My only comfort?... I don' t think the right answer is on the list. (Rising) I don' t believe the correct answer is one of your choices. ( moves downstage center and begins to pray).

Greed: (uncomfortable with Christian leaving) Christian come back. Let' s finish the game. The game needs a good ending!... You know what they say, the person with the most toys wins. Christian? (Greed becomes desperate for Christian' s attention but is speechless. Soon Greed freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

Christian: (looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: No temptation has seized you except what is common to all people. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13) " Christian freezes. "

(Curtain)

5. Sloth

(Two chairs are placed upstage center facing the audience.)

Christian: (enthusiastically enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck.) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just one more thing to say to help us all... (Christian takes a deep breath as if to continue speaking. Christian then pauses. Staying in spot, she looks around the congregation noticing that the other actor Sloth is missing her cue. Then speaks loudly so that Sloth will receive her cue): I have just one more thing to say to help us all (stressing the last few words).– (There is a pause. Staying downstage center, Christian looks around again. Then showing frustration, she takes her script out of her back pocket and examines the script' s lines.) There! It says right there! It says, 'Enters Sloth from stage right interrupting Christian.' (Looks down aisle stage right) Well?...I am waiting. (There is another pause).– (Yelling to the back) I...am...waiting! (And yet another pause.)– (Christian goes to the back of the church and returns pulling/pushing Sloth to the stage. Sloth, who– does not resist, plods slowly forward. Christian putting Sloth into place right stage center) There! Just like in rehearsal. You stand– there while I do my speech.

Sloth:(Finally, looking up with a bored expression) Whatever.

Christian: Are you ready? Ready to say your lines?

Sloth: Sure.

Christian: (after she takes her place downstage center, she looks over to Sloth) Now we are starting... Just one more thing to say to help us all. (Christian pauses waiting for Sloth to interrupt. Sloth does not respond. Christian nudges Sloth into action.)

Sloth:(grudgingly) Oh, yeah... Hey Christian, how? (smiles in triumph)

Christian: (Christian can' t believe she is stuck with Sloth) What?!? (looking at her script) That' s not what you are suppose to say!

Sloth: I' m into improvisation. Memorization is just too hard.

Christian: Would you just say your lines.

Sloth: Whatever. (Takes out script and begins to search for lines) What page are we on?

Christian:(frustrated) Page one. We haven' t started yet.

Sloth: Sure. (Christian turns to face the congregation, ready to start the play. As Christian is doing this, Sloth drops the script and moves upstage to slouch on a chair.)

Christian: (not looking back) Ready now?

Sloth: _ .

Christian: Got your script?

Sloth: _

Christian:(looking back) Hey, what are you doing?(moves to behind the chairs to urge Sloth forward) Come on. Why don' t you just try? We need you to do this play.

Sloth: Me? You don' t need me.

Christian: Of course, we need you. You' ve been given lots of gifts. Now it' s time to use some.

Sloth: It' s too hard. I don' t feel like it. –

Christian: But the play won' t happen without you.

Sloth: (patting the other chair) Christian, come here.

Christian: What? We are in the middle of...

Sloth: Come here and sit down. (Christian sits) (Sloth motions to the congregation) Look out there. What do you see?

Christian: (unsure of the right answer) The... people in the church

Sloth: Look at them

Christian: So?

Sloth: (pointing to the right) See that guy over there with his head down?

Christian: Uh huh Sloth:(pointing to the left) See the kid over there talking to her friend?

Christian: (getting discouraged) Oh.

Sloth:(pointing to the congregation center) And that lady there? She can' t get her nose out of the bulletin papers.

Christian: (takes on Sloth' s body posture) I get it.

Sloth: I could go on, but why bother? They just don' t care.

Christian: Nobody.

Sloth: You see,...so why bother?

Christian: Whatever.

Sloth: Yeah, it' s not like God can use us to make a difference in any of their lives.

Christian: (coming out of a stupor) No, I don' t believe that to be true.(She comes forward downstage center and begins to pray)

Sloth: (As she slowly lies down on both chairs) Oh, come on Christian...Prayer doesn' t make a difference either... you see... never mind.. whatever... (Sloth freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.) –

Christian: (looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: ‡ No temptation has seized you except what is common to all people. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13)

(Christian freezes.)

(Curtain )

6. Gluttony

(Christian enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the– neck. Gluttony enters close behind carrying a bag of cookies/box of doughnut holes from which he/she will eat throughout the entire play.)

Christian: Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all... (Gluttony makes gorging sounds. Christian– stops and looks at Gluttony)

Gluttony: (noticing Christian' s looks, Gluttony becomes possessive of what he/she is holding.– Saying between mouthfuls) What are you looking at? You can' t have any!–

Christian: ( Looking more intently at the food and examining the situationÛ ) I know what you are doing.

Gluttony: (mouth full) Uh...huh

Christian: (like a detective) This is one of those seven deadly sins plays, right?–

Gluttony:(mouth full)Uh huh.

Christian: And you are the sin Gluttony, aren' t you?

Gluttony:( mouth full)Uh huh.

Christian: This is the part where you try and tempt me to become more like you... to take on a gluttonous personality.

Gluttony:(mouth full) Uh huh...

Christian:(eyeing the box of cookies) This is the start, isn' t it? The box of cookies right? You give me– one and soon I' ll want the whole box!

Gluttony:(surprised) Give you one? ...The whole box?? (Gluttony jams two more cookies quickly– into his/her mouth, determined not to share) Christian moves away downstage center to do a monologue. Gluttony stands beside Christian.– Gluttony munches and watches like he/she would watching television. During the monologue Christian starts by being defensive but ends the monologue enjoying the gluttony)

Christian: Oh, sure. Those cookies are just the start. I eat and eat and eat. Then what? What do I consume next? A large lunch? More snacks? A huge supper? And why consume? Am I particularly hungry? No. I' m bored. I m lonely. I' m angry. I m sad. I need a quick fix to make me feel better. I need a binge. ( Turns to Gluttony) You can't try and fool me! I know that it' s not just food. Gluttony fills my life!– ! I need to go to the mall and spend, spend, spend. I need a new .................... ! We all know that things will make me feel better.– And then? (Moves back downstage center) I take on materialism full force. Grab every bargain. Go to every sale. Who cares if I actually need it? I just want it! I need to fill all my appetites, but I never can– of course. I look for more and more pleasure. That' s how I can find happiness! Who needs other people? For that matter, who needs God? Just... give... me... more! At this point, Christian grabs the box of cookies. Gluttony is surprised as Christian tries to take– it away. (They struggle)

Both: It's mine. It's mine. (Gluttony is pushed down by Christian. Christian succeeds in taking the cookies away and– moves to downstage left. Christian begins to put a cookie to his/her mouth)

Gluttony:( getting up from the ground, full of despair and sounding like an addict) Christian. Don' t take that cookie. I want it. I ...need...it. Give the box back. I need it. Give it back.

(Christian has pity for Gluttony and begins by giving the box back. Gluttony responds by– snatching the box out of Christian' s hands, laughing hatefully.)

Gluttony:(unconvincingly) I can't believe that you fell for my stupid pity act!–

(Christian begins to pray. Gluttony takes the opportunity to gorge on more cookies.)–

Gluttony:(mouth full) You can't have any, you know. There' s just not enough to share... (Gluttony freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

Christian:( looks up from prayer) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to– walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all: No temptation has seized you except what is common to all people. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (I Cor.10:13)

(Christian freezes.)

(Curtain)

7. Lust

(Christian enters from right and moves to downstage centre . Lust follows, looking through an entertainment magazine. He smiles at the pictures he sees. Lust stands behind Christian.)

Christian: (enters from right to downstage center wearing a chain with a large cross around the neck.) Hello. My name is Christian, and I am you. I try to do my best to walk the Christian walk of faith. I have just more one thing to say to help us all...

Lust: (referring to a picture in the magazine) Nice Butt!

Christian: (awkward at first, still facing the congregation, not looking at Lust) ...why thank you.

Lust: (looking at the magazine and making lustful sounds) ‘ mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm

Christian: (shocked but still thinking the comments refer to her. She turns to see Lust looking at the magazine) Hey! (a little offended. Snatching the magazine out of Lust' s hands) Don' t be so disgusting! We are in a church here, you know!

Lust: (Trying to get the magazine back) Sweetheart, I' m just admiring the gifts God gave Michelle Pfeiffer [or whichever actress is currently in a film].

Christian: (Looking at the photo) Big deal! What' s she got that I don' t have?

Lust: (Looking her over from head to toe which makes Christian uncomfortable) You know... now that you mention it. You' re not so bad, honey. You' ve got some nice parts.

Christian: (aghast) Nice parts! Nice parts! I can' t believe you!

Lust: Calm down, sweetie. Don' t blame me if you can' t take a compliment. Now can I have my magazine back?

Christian:(starts to page through the magazine, keeping it away from Lust) This is terrible. I can' t believe how the media throws sex at us.

Lust: Sex sells, baby.

Christian: (As she pages through the magazine) Sex everywhere! On Primetime‘ TV, pornography on the Internet, books, advertising, magazine... (looking down seeing a photo and recognizing) ... Harrison Ford! [or any other famous actor presently in a film]

Lust: (being the devil on the shoulder) You like him, do you?

Christian: (dreamily) Oh yes. He' s so good looking and he has a nice...

Lust: Yes?

Christian: (coming back to reality) ...personality!

Lust: Yeah, right!

Christian: (regaining composure) I can' t help it, and it's okay to look. That' s what Harrison Ford is paid for, isn' t he?

Lust: Sure, baby. Looking is finw. Nothing wrong at all. (Looking out the congregation) We' re all just looking for the perfect woman...

Christian: (correcting and moving forward) ... the perfect man!

Lust: A girl with beautiful long flowing hair that I can run my fingers through.

Christian: A guy with nice...eyes.

Lust: Eyes?

Christian: Yeah, eyes!

Lust: It' s a start. What else?

Christian: He needs to be tall and well proportioned with big broad shoulders.

Lust: (Back to the list) My woman need to have a pretty face with red luscious lips.

Christian: He' s got to have a great smile with perfect teeth. –

Lust: A girl with a slim trim body.

Christian: A guy with a ripple stomach.

Lust: Soft supple skin.

Christian: Strong hands and muscular arms.

Lust: Long sexy legs.

Christian: A strong chest.

Lust: A big chest.

Both: And a firm tight behind.

Lust: Women are all so sexy! I love them all. Love, love, love!

Christian:(realizes) Love? What we' re talking about here isn' t love. It s just wanting people... using people...(Christian begins to pray)

Lust: (becomes desperate for Christian' s attention) Christian, check it out. There' s lots of meat out there, if you know what I mean. We all just have to go on the hunt... Christian?

(Soon Lust freezes but remains on stage, a presence that does not leave Christian.)

(I Cor.10:13)

(Christian freezes.)
